Early in January 2009 our new DVD ‘Postcards from Sorrento’arrived. The DVD, now showing on a display unit set up in the Heritage Gallery, was funded by a grant received from the Public Records Office, Victoria. We hope to have a second unit operating soon.
This excellent DVD features three stories from Sorrento’s past - George Coppin, the Tramways and Watts’ Cottage. The fourth story tells of the history of the Mechanics’ Institute and the Museum.
Many photographs from our extensive collection have been used in the
production — some which have not previously been displayed in the
